Biography
Professor Crincoli is on leave pursuing a Ph.D in Human Sexuality. He will return to Touro Law in the Fall of 2015.

Professor Shawn Markus Crincoli joined the faculty at the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2007. From 2001-2007, he was a faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Law. Before joining the Minnesota faculty, he clerked for Chief Judge Richard A. Posner, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Professor Crincoli has published and lectured on a wide variety of subjects including: transgender health and the law; gender & disability in sport; regulation of the family; Jewish law; LGBTQ cultural competency; and more. His  current research focuses on the intersection of law and sexuality, particularly as related to the role of religion in emergent socio-legal understandings of LGBTQ identities. He is also researching the delivery of services and health care to aging individuals who identify as sexuality and gender minorities.  Professor Crincoli currently serves as Chair of the Legal Issues committee for the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). In prior years, he has served on and chaired the Jewish Law Section of the American Association of Law Schools.
