Annual Winter Alumni Reception

The Alumni Association of Touro Law Center is pleased to co-host the Annual Winter Alumni Reception in conjunction with the New York State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting. This well-attended event offers you the opportunity to catch up with your fellow classmates, visit with Touro Law School faculty and administrators and honor alumni recognized through our Alumni Awards Program.

• Exceptional Law School Service Award is given to an alum who possesses great leadership skills and has contributed to the growth of the Law Center through communication with alumni, networking, assisting with programs and events for alumni and students. 
• Emerging Leader Award honors a recent graduate who has made exceptional strides in his/her profession and has taken great initiatives during and after law school. Serves as a role model for graduating students to follow. 
• Public Service Award is presented to an alum who has proven exceptional leadership in the public sector and service to the Touro Law Center and the public community. 
• Keith Romaine Elected Official of the Year Award:
  Upon Hon. Keith Romaine’s untimely death, a Touro Law graduate from the class of 2003, together with close friends and family of Keith, Touro Law Center wanted to do something special in his memory. Because of Keith’ s interest and passion for government – apparent from his student days at Touro Law - the creation of an annual award in his name will be presented annually to a Touro Law graduate, honoring an elected official.
• Alumni Council Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a member of the Law Center's volunteer Alumni Council.  Members of the Council donate their time to help current, prospective and accepted students and attend Accepted Student Receptions, Orientation Receptions, serve as judges for student competitions and more.

The recipients of the Alumni Awards are nominated by a committee of Law School professionals. Anyone can nominate.
