Wednesday, June 3, 2015:
• Session III – The Emergence of Shanghai as a Haven for Jews Fleeing Hitler 1933 – 1945
• Break
• Session IV – 1942-1945 for “Stateless Jews” in Shanghai
• Luncheon
• Session V – The Legacy of the Jews of Shanghai
 
Thursday, June 4, 2015:
Optional Day Trips (please note that a separate form will be provided for these activities – but please indicate on the Conference Registration form which of the day trips you will be taking.
 
1) Shanghai City Tour: $65/person with Lunch
Includes: Old Street, Nanjing Road, and the Bund; a Silk Spinning Mill – where you can do some shopping. Step back in time at the Shanghai Museum with more than 120,000 art objects.
 
2) Suzhou: $89/person with Lunch
Suzhou is China’s silk capital – the tour includes: round trip private coach transfers with English speaking guide; Inner City Grand Canal cruise, the Suzhou Gardens; the Suzhou Museum designed by Suzhou native I.M. Pei; and a Silk Spinning Factory
 
3) Nanjing*: $135/person with Lunch – *Please note – this trip includes long walking distances at Shanghai and Nanjing Railroad Stations as well as stairs with little or no handicap access.
Includes: Round trip bullet train to Nanjing with English speaking guide; Presidential Palace; the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and the Ancient Confucius Temple, and the Nanjing Massacre Museum
