Touro Grants are awarded each year on the basis of financial need to qualified entering students and to continuing students in good academic standing. Applicants should file a Touro financial aid application and a FAFSA form, along with copies of their previous year's tax return. Funds are limited, so early application is advised. Grants vary, according to need, from $1,000 to $2,000 per year and do not have to be repaid after graduation.

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
New York State residents may be eligible for New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) grants ranging from $75 to $550 per year for graduate or professional studies. Students must be enrolled full time and may receive payments for up to eight semesters. TAP grants do not have to be repaid after graduation. Touro's school code is 5866.

Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarships
Professional Opportunity Scholarships are available to members of economically disadvantaged and/or minority groups historically underrepresented in the profession. The awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 per year for up to four years and do not have to be repaid after graduation. To be eligible, students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who live and attend school full time in New York; agree to practice law in New York for one year for each annual award received; and demonstrate good academic standing. For more information, contact New York State Higher Education Services Corporation.
