Touro Law Center held its 15th Annual Goods & Services Auction on Wednesday,
April 1, 2009. Proceeds from the auction benefit the Touro Law Center’s Summer
Public Interest Fellowship Program, which funds summer stipends for students to
work in public interest law firms or non-profit organizations. These students
defend the victims of domestic violence, guard the legal interests of children
and work with advocacy groups on a broad spectrum of poverty and civil rights
issues.
The auction also recognizes outstanding Attorneys of the Year from law firms on
Long Island who best exemplify public interest pro-bono legal work performed in
the areas of poverty law, civil rights law or public rights law, including the
representation of charitable organizations. Congratulations to the 2009 award
recipients listed below:
Stanley A. Camhi – Jaspan Schlesinger LLP
Chris D. Krimitsos – Farrell Fritz, P.C.
Mili Makhijani ’07 – Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington
Michael L. Pfeifer - Law Office of Michael L. Pfeifer, P.C.
