Rachel Lloyd, Executive Director of GEMS and author of Girls Like Uswill deliver a keynote address and host a book signing.
 
The keynote will address the inter-related issues of commercial sexual exploitation of children (SCEC) and domestic trafficking in the United States. It will explain the risk factors that make girls and young women vulnerable to exploitation and trafficking as recognized and is now the largest service provider to commercially sexually exploited and domestically trafficked youth in the US. Rachel Lloyd will discuss its unique model of holistic care, including comprehensive case management, trauma informed systems of care and survivor leadership.

The event is FREE and presented by Touro Law and the Touro Women's Bar, and in conjunction with the Human Trafficking course. Sponsors include the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Women's Bar Association.  
 
The event is from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, and open to the entire Touro community, Bar Associations, Law Enforcement, Courts and invited guests.
